Product Description

A formulation that performs in a temperate market does not automatically perform in a tropical one. Products registered into Zone IVb markets face 30°C and 75% relative humidity as a baseline storage condition, and reformulation is often the difference between a viable shelf life and a failed submission.

BPI's national sector strategy scopes incremental innovation as one of four R&D activities: adapting formulations for tropical stability, paediatric dosing, and epidemiology specific to small island developing states.

Barbados sits in Zone IVb, so the reformulation work happens in the climate the product has to survive.

We are looking for partners with products that underperform in tropical markets, and for formulation scientists and development partners who want a base in the region.
