pHysio-grad

Product Description

The pHysio-grad® device:
- Can precisely monitor and adjust the pH value of commonly used hydrogen carbonate buffers the pH adjustment in the range of pH 5.5 to 8.3 with a maximum deviation of ± 0.02 pH units.

- Utilizes pure CO2 and inert gases for simulation of intestinal conditions after connecting pumps the pH adjustment can be extended to simulation of gastric conditions and pH stage using liquid titrants.

- Is characterized by robustness and good performance stability

- Can be used in various pharmacopoeial and non-compendial dissolution test devices.

Specifications
  • Details
We provide pHysio-grad® -  a physiologically oriented device that enables biorelevant simulation of intestinal pH gradients without altering the volume or ionic strength of the simulated intestinal media. Its operation is based on gaseous pH adjustment of hydrogen carbonate - the most biologically relevant buffering system in the human gut.
  • Selling Points
Product Features; Product Performance; Quality Service; The pH of a hydrogen carbonate buffer system is driven by a dynamic equilibrium among bicarbonate ions, carbonic acid, dissolved carbon dioxide, and gas partial pressure. The pHysio-grad® system leverages this dynamic interplay to continuously regulate acidification and alkalization - accurately simulating physiological pH shifts in the human small intestine and colon without altering the solution's ionic strength.

    Key Capabilities

    - Precise pH Regulation: Continuously monitors and adjusts standard hydrogen carbonate buffers across the gastrointestinal range (pH 5.5 to 8.3) with an accuracy of ±0.02 pH units.

    - Ionic Strength Preservation: Recreates bio-relevant intestinal pH gradients while maintaining constant ionic strength.

    - Flexible Gas Titer Compatibility: Utilizes pure CO₂, CO₂ gas mixtures, or inert gases (air, N₂, He) for dynamic pH control.

    - Robust Performance: Fast, highly responsive pH adjustment
